Pakeysoft ZIP Password Recovery is a tool that enables you to restore your password from .zip archives.
It has several methods(called attacks) to recover the password.
To begin the recovering process, you first need to load the zip file into the program and then select which type of attack you want to use. The so-called "Brute-force" attack enables you to select the range of the characters. This method allows you to narrow down the possibility by specifying if the password contains upper-case letters, lower-case letters, numbers, symbols or spaces. The "Mask" attack is very useful if you remember a part of the password. You can write the characters that you remember in a designated cell, and add a question mark for each of the characters that you don't remember. The Dictionary method basically tries every word from a .txt file. The program comes with a designated Dictionary.txt file which has most words from the English language, and even some common letter combinations. This method can be advantageous if you know that the password is a single English word. The last and the most powerful is called the 'Smart' method. It is probably most useful for those who don't have any idea of what the password could be. The only option you can choose is the length of the word. It will try all the possible combinations including all those in the "Brute-force" attack.

Lastly, the program gives you the option of saving the progress after an amount of time. This is helpful because for example the "Smart" attack can last for a very long time and you wouldn't want to lose all the progress up until that point. Ultimately it is a very good tool with a lot of options which can certainly help you recover your password in a timely fashion.
